Charmaine Sheh & Kevin Cheng takes off to Singapore for awards ceremony, no interaction



Ex-rumored couple Kevin Cheng and Charmaine Sheh meets again. Following the encounter at Toby Leung's wedding banquet the other night, yesterday morning, the two were at the airport to depart to Singapore for the The 16th Asian Television Awards 2011. Charmaine and Kevin are both nominated for Asia TV King and Queen for their roles in Can't Buy Me Love and Ghetto Justice. The ex-rumored couple were also accompanied by Fala Chen and Virgina Lok. Although on the surface, they didn't have much interaction, the two both claimed they are good friends. Charmaine said she had good chats with Kevin at Toby's wedding and has always been very supportive of him.

Charmaine and Kevin arrived at the airport one after the other to avoid awkwardness. The two didn't have much to say, Kevin and Fala were actually more chatty. Kevin was asked if he's feeling awkward since he didn't have much to say to Charmaine? He said: "We already chatted a lot at Toby's wedding, we are friends, no awkwardness." Charmaine also said they chatted a lot at Toby's wedding: "He got TV King, I immediately went to congratulate him. I'm very happy for him! I have supported him all along, we have always been friends." She said she learned of Kevin's accident yesterday morning: "Relax, he's so lucky. He'll definitely be fine!" Kevin said he received many phone calls after the accident, he thanked everyone's concern.

The candidates for the Asia TV Awards comes from Mainland, Taiwan, Korea and Japan, all are very strong opponents. Kevin smiled and expressed he hopes to win the award and told reporters to be mindful of the results. When speaking of the Ghetto Justice film version, Kevin had been on a tight schedule and therefore the film could not start. He expressed he is not sure, and will have to ask director Tong Kei Ming to find out. It was said the tides has changed for Kevin after he won TV King? He said: "Cannot be said that way, OK la! I'm just making a living, nothing that spectacular. I am very satisfied with my current salary, but its not any special raise. If I get any more raises, no one will give me jobs. Awards is just a type of encouragement, just a recognition. Every artist hopes to get one."

Fala lost the TV Queen award in TVB this year, but she expressed she has confidence to get an award in Singapore.
